C oven is a site specific installation built in three parts that will intervene directly into the fabric of Ramblewood. Throughout the course of the festival, each component of the installation will be activated by interactive live performances each responding to three distinct architectural features of the camp a water raft floating above the pond with canoes that will be lit with candles as a memorial to influential women in culture, a mobile composed of evocative fetish objects and custom made couture garments from the Artisanal Marcelline Collection hung above ground in a tree and a set of figure sculptures casting their shadows along the trail through the woods. Connected via the apparatus of a scavenger hunt map, the three unmonumental components of C oven will dramatically shift the audience's perception of Ramblewood's history by subtly addressing the vicious legacy of femmephobia.
